Morning Light at Eastpoint

Eastpoint is located at the Panhandle of Florida. We filmed several shows in this are for our PBS television series “Painting and Travel”. This piece was painted in the early morning hours. We try to get a start before too much distracting activity starts to take place. The warm sunlight made lovely patterns on the old building along with the cool blue shadows. I’ve always loved painting rusty tin roofs. Something about them that fascinates me and usually makes a nice painting.
