End of the Season

End of the Season

Painted in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. This barn may have once been used to dry small amounts of tobacco. I think this because of the widely spaced slats of boards on the middle part of the barn. The outer spaces are used for storage of farm equipment. The farmhouse in the background has a bit of smoke curling from its chimney and the overall look of the painting says fall and winter is coming on.
