Painted in the Painted Desert. It’s called Wupatki Pueblo and is over 900 years old. Part of the 1960’s movie Easy Ryder was also filmed here. The painting dealt with the quickly changing light as clouds moved across the sky and made patches of sunlight on the ground. It was done with basically warm tones with various greens scumbled over the surface of the burnt sienna colors to indicate the rather sparse foliage. Sarah also toured the pueblo with a native Indian.
