Anastasia Island Dunes
Sea Oats are protected along the beaches. They serve to hold the sands in place not to mention the beauty they add to the beachscape. Those small pink flowers growing off the runners are called Railroad Vine and are often found where the sea oats grow. How they survive in nothing but sand is hard to understand. A thin brilliant blue line of ocean makes a small but colorful statement.
