Beached Sloop

Sarah and I were in Nantucket, Massachusetts where I was commissioned to paint a mural at a residence there. A nor’easter blew through the area and the next day this sailboat was high and dry on the beach. In this painting some small details are showing of downtown Nantucket in the background along with some boats moored out in the harbor.
