Rusty hulls of shrimp boats are always a good subject to paint. These boats are worked hard and show their age. The two wooden doors are used almost like underwater wings. When the nets are dragged behind the boat the doors which are attached to the forward part of the nets act like wings to spread the nets out across the sea floor into a wide path. These doors will damage the oceans floor but that’s the way it’s done.
