This ship was beached in a freak storm in the Tampa Bay. It stayed there for months until it was finally removed. Tourists came from miles around to see it while enjoying the beach at Ft. Desoto Park near St. Petersburg. I loved the red, white, and blue aspect of the painting which made brilliant contrasts.
