Sunday Morning Shrimp Docks

Sunday Morning Shrimp Docks 9x12

Sunday mornings are good times to take the portable easel and paint for a while when all is quiet. Such is the case with this piece. St. Augustine has fewer shrimp boats than it once had but several are still running. Here at the docks on Riberia Street is one such scene where the shrimp boats unloaded their catch for processing. It was an overcast day which made painting even more enjoyable by not having to deal with blinding sun and that also helps to create a nice mood to the piece.
