Carabelle is a small town on the panhandle of Florida’s Gulf Coast, good fishing here and nice marsh scenes to paint. I painted this scene from a second story balcony of a marina, Carabelle can be seen in the distance. This was filmed for our PBS television series “Painting and Travel”. We also took a boat ride to Dog Island where Sarah looked for shells. The palette of colors for this painting was Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Indian Yellow, and Alizarin Crimson. The simple palette of colors gave the painting harmony.
