Wupatki Pueblo

Wupatki Pueblo is in the Painted Desert and is over 900 years old. Part of the 1960’s movie Easy Ryder was filmed here. The painting dealt with the quickly changing light as clouds moved across the sky and made patches of sunlight on the ground. It was painted using warm tones with various greens scumbled over the surface of the burnt sienna indicating sparse foliage. Sarah also toured the pueblo with a member of the Hopi Nation.
